CAN YOUR FINE!

Can Your Fine! is Miller College Library's latest charity campaign.

As part of this campaign, we are encouraging staff members and students to donate a can or two of non-perishable food. We would love staple food such as rice, beans, pasta, etc., but we will happily accept any canned or packaged food you can spare.

We will waive all overdue fines for students who make a donation.

So dig deep in your pantry cupboards and bring along a can or two to MG 30 & 31. Your donations will help local families in need, and give the people of Miller a truly happy Christmas.

Career Planning

Career planning is an ongoing process that can help you manage your learning and development.
You can use the four step planning process whether you are:
  • still at school;
  • a school leaver;
  • an adult adding on skills; or
  • an adult changing your job or career.
Career planning is the continuous process of:
  • thinking about your interests, values, skills and preferences;
  • exploring the life, work and learning options available to you;
  • ensuring that your work fits with your personal circumstances; and
  • continuously fine-tuning your work and learning plans to help you manage the changes in your life and the world of work.

Temporary relocation of Miller College Library Service

SWSi is building library, Service and Support Centres at Bankstown, Campbelltown, Macquarie Fields and Miller Colleges.

To commence this work in Miller Library and ensure there are no issues around work health and safety, the library functions and staff will be relocated for the construction period. These temporary arrangements will ensure that all students have access to computers and the ability to request and return library books.

M:G.30 and M:G.31 will be used to house Library staff and provide facilitated access to the physical Library collection (including books) during the hours:

Monday - Thursday 8.30am-6.00pm
Friday  8:30am -5.00pm .

There will still be access to the great services the Library offers:

  • computers & internet access
  • library resources (on request)
  • free printing & photocopying
  • free tea, coffee and biscuits

These arrangements will commence from Monday 10 November.
